"NEXT Journal Moleskine creative writings found in Apple Store, SoHo (SoHo)"

I like to poke around Craigslist sometimes and just see what's listed. One particularly fun area of the website (I search exclusively NYC) is the Lost and Found section. You can check out what people are missing, what people have found, and while pretty much 95% of what seems to be reported lost are iPods, sometimes interesting stuff will pop up.

Take, for instance, the Lost and Found listing from which I've created the title of this post. You can find it here. Take a moment to read the entry and you'll see that the guy who wrote it is simply the biggest asshole ever.

The majority of people who lose things at this board offer some sort of reward, and it seems like the majority of people who find things don't necessarily expect one. This guy however has upped the ante. He not only expects a reward, he demands one, in the amount of 395 dollars. He claims he's "fallen in love" with the iPod Touch and that if the person sends him the money, either in one solid amount or in increments, he'll Fed-Ex them their notebook back. The guy won't even meet them in person! Of course that's understandable, since if someone did this to me then there would actually be two of us there to meet him, me and my good friend Mr. Lead Pipe (who is as tough and rugged as his name makes him sound).

What an asshole!

Edit: This may seem unbelievably self-serving to those of you reading, but being linked to by Moleskinerie has resulted in an explosion of people visiting my site. Where before it was a trickle now it is a tiny deluge. If you like what you've read then I invite you to check out the rest of my blog and keep coming back. I maintain this blog pretty much entirely as a cathartic exercise and it's nice to have people reading it for once. I hope you enjoy!

that guy is such a tool.

Wow, that's pretty poor form.

Jeez, what nerve. I think the person that found the notebook deserves to be hit by a bus, or at the very least lose something of sentimental value, only to have it be found and ransomed for an exhorbitant amount!
